SPECIAL MESSAGE FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS

The Culver City Friends of the Library invite you to join us in a community-wide reading celebration called Culver City Reads. Culver City Reads encourages people of all ages throughout Culver City to read a very special book together and participate in a series of events and activities that take place over the summer months. It is designed to broaden one's appreciation of reading, to stimulate discussions among friends and family, and to promote understanding of other people's viewpoints.

In past years, the Culver City Reads celebrations of "The Wizard of Oz" and "Peter Pan" were so successful over a thousand people participated and the programs were featured in the Culver City News nearly every week throughout the summer. This year the program focuses on "Born Free: A Lioness of Two Worlds," the highly acclaimed bestseller by Joy Adamson. The summer's Schedule of Events is a reading safari full of adventure and learning and culminates with an "Under the Stars" screening of the movie Born Free at Veterans Park on Saturday, August 11. For more information, pick up a flyer at the Library or visit our website at www.ccfol.org.

However, the success of the program depends on financial support from businesses, civic organizations, and individuals. There are many ways you or your organization can contribute to this community celebration, including one of many levels of sponsorship. Sponsorship can be achieved by a monetary contribution, a non-monetary contribution (such as a gift certificate, food for an event, or an item for a drawing or door prize) or some combination of both. We have developed a wide range of sponsorship opportunities and each provides unique benefits for you or your business. In addition, Sony Pictures, the Culver City News and the Culver City Firefighters have once again agreed to partner with us, so we expect great visibility for the program and its sponsors!

If you are interested in participating, please complete the enclosed Sponsorship Form and return it to us as soon as possible. Please direct any questions to Alan Corlin (email: info@ccfol.org or phone: 310-559-1676). Thank you, in advance, for your support of the Culver City Julian Dixon Library and this important community program.
